Mangaluru: Anganwadi workers in the state have still not received the smartphones from the state government that were to be given to them to simplify their tasks and bring transparency in their work.

Minister for Women and Child Development & Disabled & Senior Citizens Empowerment had in January said that workers would be given a smartphone within the next two weeks to handle all the work online through “Sneha” app. But even after a month, the workers are yet to receive their official smartphones.

Commenting on this Usman, the department’s district deputy director said that the smartphone will be delivered to the workers but a confirmed date for the delivery has not been set.
