Bengaluru: Congress government launched ‘Anila Bhagya’ scheme for the needy families here on Tuesday.

CM Siddaramaiah inaugurated the Anila Bhagya (free LPG connections) here and said that this scheme has better provisions than the Ujjwala scheme by the Central government.

Addressing the gathering, CM said unlike the Ujjwal scheme, Anila Bhagya will offer the required paraphernalia like cylinders, stoves and even a gas lighter to the beneficiaries.

Over 30 lakh beneficiaries have been identified under the scheme. Of this, about 10 lakh would be covered in the first phase, he added.
