Ankola: The body of Arjun, a Malayali driver who went missing in the landslide at Shirur has reportedly been located after 71 days after the tragic incident.
Media reports indicate that a body was found in the cabin of the lorry, and Manaf, the owner of the lorry, has confirmed that the cabin belongs to his vehicle. Efforts are underway to retrieve the remains of the lorry using a dredger.
Arjun, a native of Kannadikkal in Kozhikode, went missing in the landslide that occurred on July 16 while he was in Shirur. Despite difficult weather conditions that hindered search operations, Arjun’s family remained hopeful that his body would be found. Though the discovery brings sadness, it has given closure to the family.
