Another life imprisonment sentence for serial killer Cyanide Mohan

Mangaluru: The district sixth additional district and sessions court awarded life imprisonment to serial killer Cyanide Mohan in connection to the murder of a girl from Paivalike in Kasaragod district.
Judge Syedunnisa had held Mohan guilty of the murder on July 12 and reserved arguments over quantum of sentence to July 18. Including the sentence to life imprisonment for murdering the woman, Mohan has been given different terms for other offences including poisoning her. He has been fined Rs 10,000.
20 murder cases have been filed against Mohan among which, he was given life term sentence in ten cases, while five cases were dismissed. Five more cases are pending hearing.
Public prosecutor Judith O M Crasta argued on behalf of the prosecution. The parents of the lady are eligible to claim compensation through the district legal services authority, informed the Judge.
