Mumbai: Many filmmakers and actors are supporting the protests happening across India opposing the passage of the Citizenship Act and NRC. While many of these celebrities have been sharing their opinion on Twitter, few actors have joined the protesters on the streets as well.
After a few months of silence on twitter, Director Anurag Kashyap on Saturday tweeted in support of the students amid the violent incidents that took place at Jamia University and criticized the legislation.
Many Twitter followers have supported his tweets and opposed them as well.
In the midst of all this, the director later tweeted that his followers dropped to 76.3K from over 5 Lakh in a few hours.
