Mangaluru: Reacting to RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat’s statement daring voters in Mangaluru constituency to elect a non-Muslim MLA and calling Ullal a slowly emerging Pakistan in the region, MLA UT Khader said that terming any part of the country as Pakistan is anti-national act as well as against the constitution and democracy.
He was speaking at the Congress Bhavan here on Saturday, January 30 after observing the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Khader further questioned Bhat that where was he during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and why did he not help the people from his own community then.
Adding that Bhat did not do anything for the people whether Hindu or not during the crisis and claimed that he himself was out helping people affected by the virus as well as those who were suffering due to the lockdown.
“People elect representatives based on their work,” Khader added.
