Apex Court Order: 107 out of 147 Bars to be Shut in Hunsur Sub Division

Hunsur: As many as 107 out of 147 bars located Hunsur and other three taluks of Hunsur Sub division will be shut from July 1, 2017 following supreme court order to close the bars located near national high ways in the country. According to the order, the bars must keep a distance of half kilometer from national highways for functioning otherwise they should be shut, according to the new set of rules. The apex court in its order has also ruled the bars to locate themselves 220 meter away from the villages who have population more than 20, 000.
The bars, bar and restaurants located in HD Kote, Hunsur, KR Nagar and Periyapatna areas of Hunsur sub division will be shut as most of the bars come under the new rules and regulations.
