Appeal for financial help

Thekkatte: A Thekkatte resident Yajnesh Achar’s daughter suffered a fire accident at home. Readers are requested to donate towards the child’s treatment.

Yajnesh’s daughter Shriya was playing in the house. She entered the deities altar in her house and accidentally caused her dress to catch fire from the lamp on the altar.

Hearing Shriya cry, her family members immediately came to her rescue. However, a few parts of her body were already burnt.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital and was later admitted to Manipal for further treatment and remains in the intensive care unit there.

The cost of Shriya’s will be Rs 4 lakhs. The child’s family is in financial distress and unable to afford the cost of her treatment. They are awaiting humanitarian help.
