‘Appears to be murder’: BSY on Chandrashekar’s death, seeks detailed investigation

Shivamogga: Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa said that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the death of BJP MLA Renukacharya’s nephew.
Speaking to reporters, Yediyurappa said that prima-face it appears that Chandrashekar was murdered. “We will conduct an investigation to determine the truth,” he said.
The decomposed body of Chandrashekhar was recovered from his car at Tunga canal near Kadakatte village in Honnali taluk of Davanagere district.
Further, he added that he will discuss the matter with Chief Minister Bommai to order an investigation at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Shivamogga MP B Y Raghavendra visited Renukacharya’s residence and offered his condolences to the aggrieved family. “Chandrashekar was active in politics and his death is a loss to the party. A detailed investigation must be held into the case,” he said.
