The dead body of a youth from Bhadravati who slipped and fell into the waters at Arasina Gundi Falls near Kollur has been found after a week-long search.
The deceased, Sharath (23) had come to Kollur with a friend on July 23 and they had gone to Arasinagundi Falls. He was reportedly standing on a rock and posing for pictures when he slipped and fell into the roaring water.
His friend immediately informed the nearby forest department staff about the incident. A search was launched with help from forest department personnel, fire brigade personnel, and locals.
The search operation was hampered due to heavy rain and water rush. Today the body was found ten meters away from the place where the mishap took place.
