Udupi: The mortal remains of Shirva-based nurse Hazel Jyotsna Mathias, which was expected to reach her native on September 26 has been delayed further owing to some technical issues it is gathered.

Hazel had died under mysterious circumstances in Saudi Arabia, nearly two months ago, following which her mortal remains had been retained for investigation reasons.

As per the last information received Hazel’s mortal remains was expected to arrive in Bengaluru on September 25 from where arrangements had been made to bring them to her native via an ambulance. However, it is now learnt that her mortal remains will arrive in Bengaluru on September 27 and would be brought to her native on September 28 unless any last minute changes further delay the arrival.

Hazel was working in Al Miqua General Hospital in Abha province, Jeddah, from the last six years. Her last conversation with her family members and husband was on July 19. She allegedly had committed suicide owing to sexual harassment from a Saudi national.
