Samrat Nath, a kid from Assam’s Karimganj district has developed a theft-proof electronic bicycle that can travel 60 kilometres on a single charge.
The e-bike is fitted with cutting-edge sensors and tracking technology that can identify theft.
Lithium-ion batteries were repurposed from old laptops to power the bicycle.
On a single charge, the bike can travel 60 kilometres at a top speed of 40 kilometres per hour.
The teenager claims he can control the bike remotely and track its location in real time.
Nath is a technology student at the Assam Rifles ITI. He claimed that completing his childhood desire of designing a bike on his own took him four years.
Nath isn’t the first Assamese teen to come up with a noteworthy idea this year.
Another young person from the Karimganj district has created a sensor-enabled smart shoe for the visually impaired.
