Bengaluru: A court here remanded Soumya, an accused in the KEA Assistant Professor recruitment exam paper leak case, to police custody for 13 days.
Police produced the guest lecturer before the 1st ACMM court here on Tuesday pleading for her remand. The court accepted the police’s request and sent her to police custody for 13 days for questioning.
Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to unearth the culprits involved in the Geography paper leak. Sowmya’s close family members and her WhatsApp acquaintances have been served notices to appear before the police, sources said.
Malleshwaram police had arrested Sowmya and a Bengaluru-based man for allegedly leaking answers to 18 questions of the geography paper asked in the examinations conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) held in March this year.
