Attack on Advocate Kuldeep Shetty: SI Sutesh suspended

Punjalkatte sub inspector K.P. Sutesh has been suspended in connection with the assault on Advocate Kuldeep Shetty.

The government issued the order following a protest by the lawyers in several places, demanding action against sub-inspector K.P. Sutesh and other personnel of the Punjalkatte police station for their alleged misbehavior with Kuldeep Shetty, a city-based advocate.

Case details:

On December 3, a case was filed against advocate Kuldeep Shetty at Punjalkatte police station by his neighbor. In this connection, the police had picked him up from his residence during the nighttime.

As per reports, during the detention, the police allegedly tore his clothes, brought him to the police station, and assaulted him — ignoring the pleas from his family members.

The family of the advocate has claimed that a civil case is pending in court. The neighbors had filed a false theft case against Advocate Kuldeep, it is claimed.
