Attempted murder of BD activist, Prashant Poojary murder accused: Six persons held

Mangaluru: The city police have arrested six persons in connection with two separate incidents of an attempt to murder that took place on September 24.
It may be recalled that Imtiaz, an accused in the Prashant Poojary murder case was brutally assaulted by miscreants at Gantalkatte here. Luckily an injured Imitiaz managed to escape from the spot and save his life. Shortly after this incident and probably as a retaliation for the murder attempt on Imtiaz, Bajrang Dal activist Harish Shetty had been targeted near Suralpady mosque near Gurpur.
Dhanaraj (22), Dinesh (23), and Shashwath (23), all residents of Surathkal were held in connection to the assault on Imtiaz while Shariff (24), Sifaj (26) and Arif (28), residing near Gurpur Kaikamba were arrested in connection to Harish Shetty assault case.
