Attempted murder of former municipality member in Moodbidri

Moodbidri: Municipality nominee former member, BJP worker Srinivas Devadiga, after completing party promotion work on Thursday night, was on his was home around 10:50pm, when two unidentified men stabbed him with knife and attempted his murder. A complain in this regard has been registered at Moodbidri police station.
This attack took place near the victim’s house in Ladi. It is said that the assailants bolted off when they saw an approaching auto-rickshaw. The injured Srinivas has received treatment from a government hospital.
No news has been received about the assailants. It is not clear if this act of hatred is a personal act or a political act.
BJP condemns the attack
In a press statement, BJP district spokesman informed that the murder attempt of Municipality nominee former member, BJP worker Srinivas Devadiga was condemnable.
The murder attempt on a honest BJP worker who is of the backward class community is like hoding a mirror that depicts the administration failure of Siddaramiah led state government. It is impossible to clamp down on the voice of BPW workers by force. He has demanded the police commissioner to immediately take action and provide security to the people and BJP workers.
