Auto driver stabbed to death with beer bottles

Bengaluru: In a brutal incident an autorickshaw driver was stabbed to death by unidentified bike-borne men with beer bottles after a minor scuffle turned into a heated argument in JM Palya.

The deceased is identified as Venkatesh (29),  a resident of Malleshpalya.

Reportedly, the incident took place on late Sunday, March 10 night, when Venkatesh, had parked his autorickshaw near JM Palya 4th and sat for a drink along with two of his relatives. Meanwhile, two unidentified bike-borne men stopped near the autorickshaw and asked if they knew of any mechanic nearby. Venkatesh, who was drunk, told then to find a garage by themselves. This irked the bike-borne men and got into a verbal fight with Venkatesh. 

Within no time the quarrel in a turned physical fight and in the heat of the argument the duo stabbed Venkatesh with broken beer bottles, killing him on the spot. The duo immediately fled away from the spot.

A case with this regard has been registered with the Byyappanahalli police, the cops are trying to trace the killers.
