Auto-rickshaw topples killing its driver

Bajpe: An auto-rickshaw which was plying towards Kaikamba from Bajpe, toppled near Eeshwara Katte killing its driver. The incident took place on Sunday morning around 10am. Anand Gowda (37) is the victim who died at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

He is the owner cum driver of the autp-rickshaw and is survived by his wife and two sons. He was going from Permude via Bajpe road to Kaikamba, when a cow suddenly came across his path at Eeshwara Katte which compelled him to apply brakes causing the rickshaw to topple. He sustained grievous injuries to his head and was swiftly admitted to the hospital. But the treatment provided failed to save his life.
