Ayanur Manjunath announces resignation from Legislative Council

Shivamogga: Member of Legislative Council Ayanur Manjunath has announced that he will resign from the upper house, stating that he intends to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections to better serve the people of Shivamogga.

He added that he plans to visit Basavaraja Horatti’s house to submit his resignation as a member of the Legislative Council.

Manjunath, who represents the Graduates’ constituency in the Legislative Council, said he believes that he can work more effectively if he enters the Assembly.

Speaking to reporters, Manjunath said, “I have taken this decision because I believe that I can protect the working class more effectively if I am in the Assembly. I am confident of winning.”
