Ayesha Takia missed acting in films

Mumbai : Ayesha Takia has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Salman Khan, Imtiaz Ali and the actress says she did miss being in front of the camera during her sabbatical.

Ayesha, who married businessman Farhan Azmi in 2009, took a break from acting after she delivered a baby boy in 2013. She romanced Salman in the hit “Wanted” and featured in films like “Salaam-E-Ishq”, Imtiaz’s directorial debut “Socha Na Tha” and was last seen in Nagesh Kukunoor’s 2011 drama “Mod”.

“No matter how long a break you take, an actor does feel comfortable in front of the camera. I have been acting since I was four years old, so I am at ease with it (camera). I do miss the moment between action and cut sometimes,” Ayesha told PTI.

The 31-year-old actress will be seen on the big screen with her upcoming movie “Borivali Ka Bruce Lee”, which will mark her comeback to the silver screen. “I am currently shooting for ‘Borivali Ka Bruce Lee ‘.

It is really a cute, action comedy with Kung Fu elements in it and I am in love with my role. I think for a comeback, the audience will love it too. We are hoping it releases this year, 70 per cent of it (film) has already been shot. We are aiming to finish the rest soon,” says Ayesha.

As Ayesha is back to work, she says she isn’t keen to do run-of-the-mill roles in her second innings in Bollywood. “Last year there were a few things which I had to turn down because of lack of time. But the content has to be good enough to make me feel it is going to have some impact.

“When you’ve done good work, you can’t come back with something stupid. There is no point in that and hence one has to be careful,” she adds.
