Mangaluru: The Karnataka state president of Hindu Mahasabha Rajesh Pavithran, expressed discontent with the central government’s approach to the Prana Prathishtha event at Ayodhya’s Sri Ram Mandir.
In a press conference held on Thursday, Pavithran stated that the Hindu Mahasabha and Nirmohi Akhara “feel sidelined” in the inauguration process, asserting that the central government’s decision to inaugurate the temple in an incomplete state ahead of the Lok Sabha elections is a deviation from Dharmashastra principles.
Pavithran declared that the Hindu Mahasabha rejects the consecration of the temple when it is still incomplete. It is a disservice to the sacred tenets of Dharmashastra, he added.
Pavithran also announced that Ram Mahotsav is set to be celebrated on January 22 at the Lakshmi Narayan temple premises near PVS Circle in the city.
