Ayodhya Ram temple bhoomi poojan: Who are the invitees from Karnataka?

Preparations for the Ram mandir Bhoomi poojan in Ayodhya, scheduled for August 5, are on in full swing

There will be Akhand Ramayan recitation in all local temples and a Deepotsava by lighting oil lamps in houses, temples and the Saryu River on the night of August 4 and 5.

Only those invited will be allowed for the auspicious ceremony. Around 175 guests have been invited for Ram temple bhoomi poojan. Out of which 135 of these invitees are saints from 36 spiritual traditions from India and Nepal

Several personalities have received an invitation to attend the Bhumi Poojan from Karnataka. Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, head of the Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Shivratreshvara Swamy of Suttur Mutt in Mysuru, Vishwaprasanna Theertharu of Pejawar Mutt, who is also a member of the Shrirama Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, Vidhushekara Bharat Swamy from Shringeri Mutt, Madara Chennaiah Gurupeetha Seer Basavamurthy Madara Chennaiah from Chitradurga and Dr Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala have been invited to the bhumi poojan

However, it is said that  Nirmalanandana Swamiji and Madara Chennaiah Gurupeetha Seer Basavamurthy Madara Chennaiah from Chitradurga will be attending bhumi poojan of Ram Temple at Ayodhya on Wednesday, Aug 5. Vishwaprasanna Theertharu will be not traveling to Ayodhya as he is observing the Chaturmaasa Vratha in Udupi which is a four-month ritual, which begins from Ashada.  The reason for Veerendra Heggade’s absence is not known yet.

The Bhoomi poojan will include chanting of mantras and worship of the ground and the shila. Also, a 22.60 kg brick made of pure silver will be used for the Bhoomi poojan ceremony.
