Lucknow: A key meeting of the Ram Mandir Trust, set up on the Supreme Court’s directions to facilitate the construction of a temple for Lord Ram in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, will be held today(July 18) evening.

This will be the trust’s first formal meeting in Ayodhya. While most members of the trust have reached Ayodhya for the meeting, three members are likely to attend the discussion via video conferencing.

The members will deliberate on the tentative date for Bhumi Pujan of temple construction, which has been delayed because of the pandemic. An invite for the Bhumi Pujan has been sent to Prime Minister Modi.

Sources said that the Bhumi Pujan is likely to be held on August 5, but it is yet to be finalised.
