Dentist Dr. Krishnamurthy who died under suspicious circumstances
Kumble: Though police have arrested 5 accused in connection with the suspicious death of dentist Dr. Krishnamurthy, locals express strong suspicions that political clout is being used to influence the investigation behind the scenes.
Many who knew the doctor closely, said that the death was unlikely to be a suicide as was being claimed. They suspect that he was either blackmailed and threatened by the land mafia or was murdered by hired killers.
Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and like-minded local organizations of the Sangh Parivar have called for a massive protest at 10 am on Friday, November 18 at Paivalike.
Similarly, in Mangaluru city, members of the Havyaka community to which the doctor belonged under the aegis of the Mangaluru Havyaka Sabha, Dakshina Kannada-Kasaragod Havyaka Mahasabha, and Mangaluru Havyaka Mandal have organized a silent march and candlelight peaceful protest at Circuit House in the city at 6 pm on Friday demanding a comprehensive, impartial probe into the death.
