Bagalkot: Miscreants pelt stones at bus; driver killed

Bagalkot: A KSRTC bus driver was killed after miscreants in support of RTC protests pelted stones at the bus at Jamkhandi Taluk on  Friday

The deceased has been identified as Nabhirsoola Avati (59).

The incident occurred while Nabhirsoola Avati was returning to Jamkhandi from Ghattaragi of Afzhalpur Taluk. The miscreants began pelting stones at the bus near Chikkapadasalagi of Jamkhandi Taluk.

It is said that one of the stones hit Nabhirsoola’s neck and he was critically injured. Nabhirsoola managed to save the lives of 39 passengers by applying brakes immediately after he was hurt.

He was immediately taken to the nearby hospital but doctors declared him brought dead

Police officials have arrested four people in this regard
