Bagalkot: Son’s video call becomes cause of mother’s death

Bagalkot: An incident where parents, riding on a two-wheeler and speaking to their son on a video call, suffering an accident causing the death of the mother was reported from here on November 23.

Serviceman Shekharaiah Vibhuti and his wife Pushpavati were riding on a bike in Hunagunda taluk’s Muganur when their son made them a video call.

While speaking to their son on the call, Shekharaiah did not notice the speed breaker on the road. The bump of hitting the speed breaker caused pillion riding Pushpavati to fall and hit her head causing her killing her immediately.

Shekharaiah, who was supposed to leave to return to duty in Jammu and Kashmir on the morning of November 23, had to cancel it and took the dead body of his wife to her maiden home in Hiremalagavi village.
