Bail applications of accused in gang rape of college student rejected

Puttur: The bail applications moved by five persons who have been accused of gang-raping a student of a private college in the city has been rejected by the fifth additional district and sessions court judge.

The bail applications were filed by second year degree course students of a private college here, Gurunandan from Ganadamoole, Prajwal from Perne, Kishen from Kadambu, Sunil from Aryapu Piligunda, and Prakhyath from Barimaru Balya. However, the Judge Rudolf Pereira, who heard the bail applications, rejected the applications.

Public prosecutor Krishnaveni argued in favour of the prosecution.
