Baje: Water available only for a week!

Udupi: The pumping of water from near Puttige bridge across Swarna river continued on Friday as well. The water is being pumped using two pumps each at area beneath Puttige bridge, near Puttige temple and near Puttige Math.

The water pumping process will be continued on Saturday as well. It is being said that water may be available for only another 5 to 6 days.

11 schools on holiday

11 schools within Udupi limits were closed post afternoon due to severe shortage of water, informed BEO.
