Heavy fog conditions disrupted flight operations at Mangaluru Airport on Tuesday morning.
An Air India Express flight arriving from Dammam early morning circled the airport several times but was ultimately redirected to Kannur Airport due to low visibility owing to the foggy conditions.
Similarly, early morning Bengaluru-Hyderabad flight operated by IndiGo, was also affected. The aircraft, unable to land in Mangaluru, returned to Bengaluru before eventually arriving at Mangaluru Airport at 9:15 a.m.
An Air India flight from Mumbai, scheduled for early morning arrival, was delayed until the afternoon due to the same weather conditions.
