Bajpe: A wild leopard sighting has been reported from Permude – Tenka Yekkar. A few days ago, CCTV footage shows dogs in the area being chased by a wild leopard. On January 11, the leopard tried to attack a calf in broad daylight.

Pascal, a farmer in the area, reportedly, came out of the house hearing the cries of monkeys and the barking of dogs. He allegedly saw a leopard running away from a calf.

The increasing leopard menace has set in panic among locals. People say they are afraid to walk on roads due to repeated leopard sightings.  They demanded forest authorities take appropriate action before tragedy struck.
