Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have voiced their dissatisfaction over the decision of the police department to invoke the Goonda Act against a Bajrang Dal worker and order his deportation.

During a press conference, Bajrang Dal leader Shivananda Mendon expressed dismay over the deportation of activist Jaya Prashant.

Mendon highlighted that the activist, who has no record of involvement in criminal activities such as drug trafficking, cases related to women, or murders, has only worked for the welfare of Hindus. He emphasized that Prashant had been instrumental in preventing cattle smuggling and ensuring the safety of girls from Muslim communities.

The decision to charge a Bajrang Dal activist under the Goonda Act in the district is seen as a repressive measure by the state government, he added.
