In anticipation of the grand Pranapratishta ceremony at the Ram Mandir, the pontiff of the Pejawara matha Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Sripada, revealed that the selection of the Balarama idol for the temple will be disclosed on Jan 17. Three idols, two made of black stones and one of white marble, have been crafted, and a thorough review will precede the final decision, including the selection of the auspicious day for the procession.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Swamiji clarified that the invitation to the Pranapratishta is extended to various devotees, saints,  people’s representatives, donors, and devotees across the country. He acknowledged the challenge of accommodating everyone due to limited space but assured that millions of devotees would have the opportunity to witness Balarama after the installation.

Emphasizing the universal ownership of the temple, Swamiji responded to remarks by former Minister Anjaneya, asserting that the temple is not affiliated with any political party. He highlighted that the temple’s construction is funded by devotees worldwide and not limited to any particular political group.

Expressing concern over the arrest of Hubbali craftsmen, Swamiji questioned the timing of the action and urged the government to take precautions to prevent any confusion. He emphasized the need for a universal holiday during Pranapratishte, respecting the sentiments of the majority Hindu population in the country.

As part of his schedule, Swamiji mentioned completing Churnatsava at Srikrishna Math before departing for Ayodhya on the 15th.
