Ballari: Fans perform ‘Tulabhara’ of Janardhan Reddy; weigh him against gold, silver coins

Ballari: Former Minister & mining baron, Gali Janardhan Reddy’s fans perform his ‘tulabhara,’ in which he was weighed against gold and silver coins, on the occasion of the Minister’s 55th Birthday.

Reddy on Tuesday offered prayers at the Kanaka Durgamma temple and later fans performed his Tulabhara by weighing him against 55 silver coins, 55 gold coins along with Rs 10 and Rs 5 coins, which was later offered to the deity.

Recently, Supreme Court allowed Gali Janardhan Reddy, accused in a multi-million illegal mining case to visit and stay in the Ballari district.

Reddy was arrested in 2018 by Bengaluru Central Crime Branch of police in connection with his alleged involvement in the Ambidant ponzi scheme.
