Kalasa: Residents are up in arms against the movement of heavy vehicles on the Kalasa-Kudremukh Road stretch alleging that their movement has resulted in damage to the road surface.

Since restriction on movement of heavy vehicle on Shiradi Ghat is still in force, these vehicles have been forced to detour.

Stating that the movement of heavy vehicles on this stretch was causing inconvenience to the daily commuters, JD(S) state unit Vice President H D Jwalanayya urged the authorities to ban their movement.

The residents said that heavy vehicles also get struck on the stretch, inconveniencing other vehicle users.
