Mysuru: A tiger here has allegedly killed three cows which has created panic among the local community at Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
The forest officials have placed a cage at the spot to nab it and are planning to get three to four elephants for the operation if it is not found or trapped.
However it has been suspected that a tiger might have strayed from the Bandipur Tiger Reserve which is around 20 kms from here.
Speaking to a media channel Forest Officials said, “The tiger has been hunting on cows who come for grazing here. It has killed three cows so far. We are trying hard to trap the tiger, its very difficult to trace but still, our staff members have gone all out in their efforts to trace the big cat posing a threat to the cows grazing. We have deployed our staff and even created awareness among the people. Already we have requested the veterinary wing for four elephants. We will start our intensive combing operation soon.”
