Bank cheated by pledging fake gold ornaments: complaint against many

Nelliyadi: A case has been booked against 57 people and the sarraf of Karnataka Vikasa Grameena Bank at Hatyadka village identified as Manmatha Achary, at Dharmasthala police station for cheating the bank by pledging fake gold ornaments to avail loans.
Ramesh Tunga submitted the complaint to Dharmasthala police based on the information provided by the bank manager Ravindra Pai.
The bank manager has informed that altogether 57 persons had taken a total loan of Rs 38,71,240 by pledging fake gold as real gold with the bank. It has been alleged that the main accused Manmatha was gaining money by making others to avail the loan by pledging fake gold.
A video clip by the customers of the bank demanding the bank manager and the police to quickly solve the cheating case due to the bank sarraf has gone viral on social media.
