Bantwal: A 17-year-old student committed suicide on March 9 by hanging herself.
The deceased has been identified as Vaishnavi. Her parents Chandrasekhara and Soumya, are both teachers and residents of Baltila.
Vaishnavi was a second PUC student at Kalladka Shriram Vidya Kendra and was preparing for her exam at home.
Vaishnavi’s mother, Soumya, called a neighbor to check if her daughter was studying, but found the house locked. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Vaishnavi had committed suicide.
According to reports, Vaishnavi had been suffering from depression for a few days and had also consulted a doctor.
Suicide is preventable. If you get any such thoughts, consult or seek expert help.
