Bantwal: A young man reportedly ended his life at Kamaje under Bantwal City Police station limits.

The deceased has been identified as Sachin (24), a resident of Nelligudde of Kadeshivalaya village.

Sachin was working as an electrician at a local firm in Bantwal. On October 18, he did not return home from work and went missing. His family tried to contact him over his mobile phone, but all calls went unanswered.

The next day at around 3 a.m., his scooter was found near a field at Mittakodi in B Mooda village. On searching the nearby area, Sachin was found dead, hanging from a tree.

It is gathered that a suicide note was found by police. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the death, however, it is alleged that Sachin took the extreme step due to a love failure.

A case has been registered at the Bantwal City police station in this regard.

Suicide is preventable. If you get any such thoughts, consult or seek expert help.
