Bantwal: 25-year-old arrested for selling CBD Oil

Vitla: A 25-year-old youth was arrested by the Bantwal police on Sunday, October 4 from Ukkuda Kantyakda for extracting oil from Cannabis and selling it.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul Khader (25) alias Addu, a resident of Ukkuda in Kasaba, Vittal.

Based on credible information a team led by sub-inspector T D Nagaraj raided the spot where the accused was illegally storing and selling ganja. The police also seized items worth Rs 80,000 from the accused.

Reportedly Abdul Khader has contact with drug peddlers from Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, as per police information. He had a network in Bengaluru for selling ganja and ganja oil. He was planning to expand his network in Dakshina Kannada when the police arrested him.

The police team was guided by district SP Dr Laxmiprasad and was led by Bantwal SI Valentine D’Souza. The team comprised of T D Nagaraj, Vittal police station SI C Vinod S K, Bantwal traffic police station officer Rajesh K V, Gonibasappa, Kumar, Vivek, K T Jayaram, Prasanna, Lokesh, Pratap and Vinayak.

Vittal police have registered a case with this regard.
