Bantwal: 89-yo man dies after being hit by bus

Bantwal: An elderly man died after being hit by a bus at Thumbay on Sunday, June 9 morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sesappa Poojary (89), a resident of Mudalme Padpu near Thumbay.

Sesappa was on his way to Thumbay to purchase some items. As he was crossing the road in front of Vaishali Hotel, a government bus moving towards Dharmasthala from Mangaluru knocked him down.

He sustained serious injuries in the mishap and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Melkar Traffic SI Sutesh and staff visited the scene. A case has been registered.
