Bantwal: Absconding accident accused arrested after five years

Bantwal: The city police arrested an absconding accused after five years.

The arrested is Selvaraj, a native of Periyavadagarai of Vepan taluk of Perambadoor district of Tamil Nadu. H

Selvaraj is a tanker driver, in 2017, he knocked down a pedestrian who was walking by the roadside at Kaikamba near B C Road and caused his death. He went absconding following the accident. The police probing the case arrested him from Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh.

The court remanded accused Selvaraj to judicial custody.
