Bantwal-based Nidhi chosen best all-round trainee PSI

Bantwal: It was a proud moment for residents of Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada, a woman from the taluk has achieved the top spot during the police training. Nidhi BN from Bantwal has been adjudged the Best All-rounder Probationer and Best Woman Probationer (Outdoor) among the sub-inspector trainees of the 2020 batch.
She received the Sword of Honor, trophy, and citation from the State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra at the passing out parade held on February 19 at the Karnataka Police Academy and Training College in Kalburgi.
The new recruits of the police force were given an 11-month training at the college and will soon be posted to various police stations across the state.
Nidhi is the daughter of retired professor Narayana Bhandari Botyadi and BSNL retired officer Yashodha, who are residents of Sornadu Bandasale in Bantwal taluk. She pursued her graduation in commerce from SVS College and had secured the seventh rank in the Mangaluru University examinations. Nidhi has also appeared for the Gazetted Probationary exam, or the KAS exam as it is popularly known, and is awaiting its result.
