Bantwal: Bike-borne chain snatchers flee with woman’s gold chain in broad daylight!

Bantwal: In a daylight robbery, two bike-borne miscreants reportedly snatched the gold chain of a lady while she was walking on the road at Kaikunje East layout in BC Road on Sunday, March 13.

The victim, Sulochana, a resident of Kaikunje East layout filed a complaint in this regard at the Bantwal Town police station.

The incident happened at around 10:15 AM on Sunday, when the victim was on her way home. The miscreants on the bike suddenly waylaid the lady, grabbed the ‘Mangalsutra’ tied around her neck, and fled from the spot before she could raise alarm.

The gold chain is estimated to be worth around Rs 1 lakh, reports said.

The robbery in broad daylight has alarmed the public. They demanded the culprits be arrested as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Bantwal police have begun the investigation after registering the case.
