Bantwal: Bike rider killed in collision with KSRTC bus

Bantwal: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a bike rider near Bombila on the BC Road-Punjalakatte highway, on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Poojary (45), a resident of Kannadikatte, Padangadi village, Belthangady.

The accident occurred when Rajendra, traveling towards Belthangady from BC Road, collided with a KSRTC bus heading to Mangaluru from Belthangady.

This incident comes shortly after another accident on the same road near the spot. On Wednesday evening, a car and an auto-rickshaw collided, killing a woman and injuring several passengers.

Rajendra is survived by his wife and three children. A case has been registered at the Bantwal Traffic Police Station, and investigations are underway.
