Bantwal: After the video of two policemen helping a poor old aged woman and her daughter living at Garadi in Panjikallu village in the taluk went viral, a businessman from Vamadapadavu Mavinakatte has bought footwear, clothes and a month’s worth of groceries for them.

Police constable Vijay and patrol vehicle driver Vishwanath Peraje had assisted Jinnu, the aged woman.

After seeing Vishwanath’s WhatsApp status, his friend BH Mohammed Rafeeq also came to the help of Jinnu.

Rafeeq said, “I was helped during my difficult times by many in my hometown without making religion a hindrance for assistance. So I too want to do the same. Vishwanath too came with me to meet her. I did not know he shot photos. I did not do this for publicity.”
