A man escaped with minor injuries after his car collided with an electric pole, subsequently crashing into a parked motorcycle before toppling over here at BC Road on October 10.

The driver, identified as Rakshit, a resident of Siddakatte, was returning home after visiting the Kudroli Temple in Mangaluru when he lost control of the vehicle.

Both the car and the motorcycle sustained considerable damage. Rakshit is currently receiving treatment at Bantwal Government Hospital.

The motorcycle belongs to an individual from Chikamagalur, whose details are not yet available. He was also returning from Mangaluru and had briefly parked his bike by the roadside. Witnesses noted that if he had been on the bike at the time of the accident, it could have resulted in serious injury.
