Bantwal rural police have arrested a long-standing fugitive who had been evading court appearances for a staggering 17 years.
The accused, Krishna (41), a resident of Kumdelu in Pudu village, was finally apprehended by the authorities and has been subsequently produced before the court.
Krishna was initially arrested in connection to a theft case, for which he was later granted bail. However, his failure to attend successive court hearings had led him to be classified as a fugitive from justice.
