Bantwal: A government official has lodged a complaint with Bantwal town police accusing a biker of abusing him and damaging his car at Thumbay on Saturday, July 16.

The incident took place when the complainant Devdas was travelling to Mangaluru from Puttur along with three Zilla Panchayath officers after attending an official meeting.

In his complaint, Devdas states that he had to apply brakes after the car travelling ahead of theirs applied sudden brakes. The biker who was behind Devdas’s car lost control and skidded off the road.

He thus abused the officials and tried to assault them. He then damaged the mirror and glass panes of the car.
