Bantwal: A home alone woman suffered serious injuries after robbers barged into her residence at Vittal Meginapete in the taluk and gagged, assaulted her on Friday, October 8 morning.
The robbers allegedly ransacked the entire house after tying the victim, Lalitha’s legs and hands. As they did not find anything valuable, they snatched a silver chain worn by her and left after bolting the front door from outside.
Lalitha somehow managed to come out of the house from the rear door and screamed for help. Her neighbors rushed to the spot and got her admitted to the Vittal community health centre for treatment.
Vittal Police officials have visited the place and investigations are underway.
