Bantwal: Honest Madrasa teacher returns Rs 2.43L to rightful owner

In an exemplary show of honesty, a madrasa teacher returned Rs 2.43 lakh in cash found on Kelaginapete Road in Bantwal taluk to its rightful owner.

On May 28 morning Abdul Mazeed Faizi, a teacher at Manazul Islam Madrasa noticed a bundle on the roadside while crossing Kelaginapete Road. Upon opening the bundle, he discovered Rs 2.43 lakh inside. He promptly reported the find to the Madrasa administrative committee.

After verifying with the local community, the committee identified the owner as Sripati Srikant Bhat, a local resident. Bhat visited the Madrasa, retrieved his money from Abdul Mazeed Faizi, and expressed his gratitude.
